Aerial Photo/Videography

Aerial Photo/Videography is a passion that combines my love of videography with flying the amazing new Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). Here are a few of the videos I have shot over the last year as I develop my flying skills and hone the craft of capturing images from this unique perspective.

Sunrise

As I was driving to work this summer I noticed the sun rising over the horizon. With the Snoqualmie Valley layered in fog, the scene was unreal and I would not have been able to capture the scene without the ability to get above the tree lined road I was travelling. You have to love the versatility of the new aerial systems. *Check it out in 4K!

Dirtfish Rally School

This summer a few of my top students and I spent a couple days filming at the Dirtfish Rally School in Snoqualmie. This was challenging because of the fast moving subject and the distance between the copter and pilot. I think the results were pretty amazing. *The static shots were taken with a Canon XA10 on a tripod.

Conference

As an Adobe Education Leader I get to travel all over the country to present workshops on educational technology. I made this short video for the NCCE conference in Portland last winter.
Here is another one I created for the TCEA conference in Austin, TX.

Construction

Our school district is building a new elementary school so my students and I have been flying the construction site taking photos and making highlight videos almost every week for the last year. This has give us a ton of stick time and helped us master the craft.
